Happy Birthday, Bill Erwin

A.K.A. “The Old Guy Who’s Popped Up In Nearly Every TV Show And Movie Ever Made.” He’s 95 years young today.

Bill started made his acting debut in 1941’s You’re In The Army Now. Since then, he’s been in just about everything. “I Love Lucy,” “Have Gun, Will Travel,” “Gunsmoke,” “Barnaby Jones,” “The Fugitive,” “Get Smart,” “Perry Mason,” Under The Yum Yum Tree, Candy Stripe Nurses, Tarantulas: The Deadly Cargo, “The Jeff Foxworthy Show,” “My Name Is Earl,” The Brady Girls Get Married, Somewhere In Time, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Home Alone. She’s Having A Baby, The Land Before Time, “The Dukes Of Hazard,” “Knot’s Landing,” “Dallas,” “Everwood,” “Highway To Heaven,” Naked Gun 33 1/3, “Lois & Clark,” “Punky Brewster,” “Mannix,” “Mad About You,” Chairman Of The Board…the list goes on.

Of course, mot TV nuts probably remember Bill Erwin best as the cantankerous Sid FIelds on “Seinfeld”:

“Before you go, woulda mind changin’ my diaper? AHHHHH!!!!” That always brings the LULZ.

Happy birthday, you American treasure, you.
