Saw this in the grocery store the other night. I guess “food” just doesn’t have the same marketing snap as “mum-mum.” Even the kid on the box has his doubts. “‘Mum-mum?'” he seems to be thinking, bemusedly, as he sinks his gums into that rice rusk.

Also, rice rusks? Could they come up with a more alien-sounding name? Don’t leave Quarv Sector-B after dusk, that’s when the rice rusks come up from their underground layer to feast on blerfdarks. Hey freaky baby food company, how does the term “cracker” strike you? I can tell you right now if I ever have a kid I will never feed it a rusk of anything.
