Philip Chevron: 1957-2013

Recently deceased musician Philip Chevron had a lengthy career working with such revered acts as the Pogues and Elvis Costello, but Chevron lives in my heart thanks to his nascent raging with the Radiators From Space. I got a hold of that band’s careening ’77 single “Television Screen” via some mid-nineties punk compilation and it just bowled me over with its immediacy and sense of fun (the guitar is raw as an onion, too). Definitely one of those “how’s this not one of the most popular songs on Earth?” moments for me. Earth is still wrong, by the way.

Thanks for the enlightenment, Philip.
