ZOMG: BDM In GBTVG!
A new trailer for the Ghostbusters video game has just been released. There’s quite a pleasant surprise thirty-five seconds into said trailer: Brian Doyle-Murray. God, I love that raspy-ass voice of his. I hope my kids all end up sounding like that.
By the looks of his character’s duds, I’d wager a guess BDM is reprising his role as ceremonial marmot whisperer Buster Green from the 1993 classic Groundhog Day for this landmark game. Awesome, although I don’t quite remember Buster having a feather in his top hat and two comely bitches by his side. Maybe that was a deleted scene or something.
UPDATE: According to the Internet Movie Database entry for Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Brian Doyle is playing fictional New York City Mayor Jock Mulligan. Well, that explains the feather.
You know what I always say: there just ain’t enough Brian Doyle-Murray in the world. With that in mind, here’s a bunch of BDM goodness:
And for the grand finale, BDM as Captain K’Nuckles, singing the “Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack” theme song:
For some people, October 31st is Halloween. Not for me. First and foremost, that’s Brian Doyle-Murray Appreciation Day. I usually celebrate by putting on plaid pants, guzzling acid, and complaining about stuff in a thick Midwestern accent. It’s ever so much fun.
