It’s St. Patrick’s Day—Let’s Pick On House Of Pain

Specifically, the video for “Jump Around”:

0:07 – Okay, seriously, do people actually think anyone gives a shit about the fake-ass production company names and logos they come up with for YouTube? Come on, guy, all you did was post a House of Pain video. You don’t need to get all Powerpoint on us with some unreadable graphics that are in time to the music. Jesus H. already.

0:10 – Maybe I’m not that well versed in my Irish history here, but aren’t bagpipes from Scotland? Like, shouldn’t people be playing lutes and shit at a St. Patty’s Day parade? Of course, without the bagpipes, this song would be about as interesting as your average Leaders of the New School track (oh shit, I went there!).

0:16 – That cop looks like Babe Ruth. There’s a Red Sox joke in there somewhere.

1:19 – Violence against women. Real classy, House of Pain. No wonder one of you ended up in Limp Bizkit.

1:30 – Irish Groucho glasses. WHO ARE THE AD WIZARDS WHO CAME UP WITH THAT ONE?

2:10 – Continuity error! DJ Lethal’s wearing a different hat.

2:29 – What weak-ass Boston suburb is this parade taking place in? I’ve seen denser crowds in Plains, Georgia. Come on, House of Pain, get with the goddamn program in 1992.

Speaking of Boston (and in keeping with the spirit of this great holiday), here’s a pretty awesome video of Kevin McHale clothes-lining Kurt Rambis during a 1984 Celtics/Lakers game:

Damn, Rambis. You just got pwnd by the Black Hole.

Happy St. Patty’s Day, everybody.
